Thank you and Merry Christmas!

I'd like to thank all of you who have purchased leather goods or just encouraged me along the way over the past year. I started this lil' journey one year ago this week with the intent of making a seat for my chopper and things have snowballed to say the least! I have shipped seats, wallets, bags, and now a purse to over a dozen states now and orders are coming in steady. I never dreamed my wild haired idea to try leatherworking at the age of 41 would lead to all this. I now find myself juggling time between a management career, family and toolin' leather, I wouldn't have it any other way! My Loving wife and kids have supported me every step of the way, from answering E-mails from around the world, late nights pounding leather, and last minute trips to the post office to mail out my work. It gets hectic, but I still love doing it, and that's what keeps me going. I have just started on my first International order, a piece for a good buddy in the Netherlands, and just submitted a magazine article for the most well recognized Chopper magazine in the industry, life is good! My website is going strong and provides a means for potential customers to see my work. So as Holidays approach, thanks again to all those who have supported my work and to my buddies over at TheChopperUnderground. More updates to come as the projects come in...
      Merry Christmas to all,
           Po-Boy

Benefit Auction for Justin...

Our buddy Justin over on TCU was involved in a pretty bad MC accident and the crew at TCU have once again stepped up to the plate and set up a benefit auction to help out w/ mounting medical expenses, etc. Some pretty nice stuff up for auction, so bid high and often, it could happen to any of us in a split second! Here's item #27. Check it out here...

Seat and toolbag on my bike...

Finally drug out the Suzi and mounted them up. Now if it were only wired, had breaks, and top-end gaskets done... It's a project chop, right?

Thanks to Steve @ Outcast Custom!

Make no mistake, the assembly on this one was not of my doing! I sent a crappy looneynum pan to Steve several months ago to have him do a tooled leather covering for it w/ a simple P.B.B logo and told him to take his time, get to it when he could. Over those same months, I decided to take up leather tooling and Steve has become a "long distance mentor", helping me w/ advice, tips, and encouragement along the way. Put aside the vast wealth of knowledge he has shared in my endeavor, Steve has become a true friend. We have shared some stories from life, bitched about problems and health, but in the end, he always snaps me back to the reality that it ain't ever as bad as it seems, overall, I got a lot to be thankful for! You can't put a price on that.
At some point along the way, he convinced me I was good enough to tool the top for the seat he was working on for my chopper. I wasn't really sure if my tooling was worthy of his seat craftsmanship, but, I agreed. The seat you see here represents alot more than just a business transaction, more than just paying someone to cover a seat, it represents a friendship, stumbled upon in one of lifes rare moments, purely by chance.
Thanks Steve, yur a class act...

Gave the "Garage Girl" seat top a lil' color...

Started on a new seat,

Tryin to expand the subject matter beyond the skull realm...

Put a lil' color to the latest piece,

Always second guess myself when coloring. It's tough to cover up the look of natural tooled leather...
